Ivey was found having a knack for poker when he was at an early age. He was known by the name ‘Jerome’ as he was still young to be legally allowed to play at casinos based in the Atlantic city. At 23, he won his first ever bracelet of the World Series of Poker and an amount of $2,500 playing Pot Limit Omaha. This is how Phil started setting his standard at the game that very few people can actually match. He stood as a winner occupying 3 WSOP bracelets in the year 2002. In 2005 and 2009 he won 1 and 2 bracelets consecutively.
